Billing Representative

job summary:
SUMMARY:

We are working with a stable, nonprofit organization in Boston who is in need of a billing and invoice specialist to join their staff on a contract to hire basis. The Billing Specialist plays a critical role in the Finance team by ensuring accurate disbursements of grants.

THE DETAILS:

The Billing Specialist is responsible for:

  • Reviewing and entering 200-300 invoices per week
  • Verify and match codes of invoices against state, local and federal grants to ensure accurate allocation of funds and their source
  • Follow up with customer and clients for clarification or to obtain missing or pertinent information
QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal Billing Specialist will

  • Possess 2+ years in accounting or billing role, with proven longevity in previous position
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Previous experience working with an ERP is helpful.
THE DETAILS:

This is a long term contract to hire position, working with a century-old non profit. Located in the South End, office is centrally located to various lines of public transportation, entertainment, dining and shopping. We offer a competitive hourly rate (up to $28/hr for the right candidate), a comprehensive medical and dental benefit packages, unique incentives and a first in class customer service experience.
