Billing Specialist

job summary:
We are working with a highly successful, family-owned business in need of Billing Coordinator to fill in for an employee vacancy. The Billing Specialist is a key member of the Finance team and ensures the accuracy of invoices being sent out to clients. This position is located in Boston and will be a contract role to start. This role can convert to permanent employment for the right candidate.

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Reviewing purchase orders for parts and materials and calculating mark-ups, preparing and generating all invoices for services performed.
  • Reviewing payroll to ensure all technician labor is billed appropriately.
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure proper billing of technical labor
  • Process payments in the form of checks and ACH payments.
  • Work closely with AP and AR to maintain accurate records and meet revenue and DSO goals.
  • Setting up customer accounts and maintaining accurate contacts and client information.
As the ideal candidate for the Billing Specialist, you will have:

  • 1-2 years of billing or invoicing experience
  • Excellent research skills, with the ability to quickly identify and relay information
  • A positive attitude, willing to support the finance team as needed and be a versatile, team player
  • Immediate availability
Located in the Brighton/Allston part of the city, this role has plenty of free onsite parking, offers a casual work environment and a team with proven longevity within the company. This role does have the potential to convert to full-time permanent employment.
