Compliance Associate

job summary:
SUMMARY:

We are working with a leading transportation company in the Newton area who is in need of a Compliance Associate to join their staff during a maternity leave. This role plays a pivotal part of the day to day functions of the office and ensures the company and their field employees are upholding the pre-determined safety measures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

A Compliance Associate is responsible for the following day-to-day tasks:

  • Take first report of accidents involving company drivers and/or vehicle, enter information into Excel spreadsheet and obtain all necessary documentation with accurate information
  • Manage multiple Excel spreadsheets including license expiration dates,new and terminated employees, recognition and awards, and medical insurance information
  • Review and approve invoices for supplies, uniforms and safety equipment
  • Review and sign off on DOT inspection reports
  • Control the RMV process by running daily reports, providing monthly reports to managements
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

The Compliance Associate will possess:

  • 2+ years of support in a compliance, administrative, insurance or field safety role; transportation industry experience is ideal but not required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including updating, maintaining and creating new tabs, spreadsheets and cells, as well Word and Outlook
  • Detail oriented, organized and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
DETAILS:

Located on the Newton/Needham line, this role offers plenty of parking, a casual work environment and friendly, welcoming staff. This contract role is filling in for an upcoming maternity leave, and is expected to start immediately and run into the spring 2019. This role pays up to $22/hr, is 40 hours a week and would start following a one-round interview process.
