Human Resource Specialist

job summary:
A fortune 100 consumer goods company, is currently seeking a dynamic and process driven Human Resource Specialist responsible for providing HR services to managers and employees that are transactional in nature and provide first-line problem resolution. This is a 4 to 6 month assignment with the potential to be extended.

Human Resource Specialist responsibilities include:

The job will provide support for: exiting employees severance process HRIS support developing job descriptions with managers deploying standardized communications working with outplacement vendors on specific employee issues position control pay adjustments program implementation transfer processing and other such transactions.

- Counsel managers and employees regarding the intent application and compliance requirements of significant labor and regulatory laws (e.g. FMLA Workers Compensation EEOC issues ADA).

- Enter and audit transactions and resolve errors in HR systems (e.g. SAP stock POP BW) to ensure accurate data.

- Assist employees in resolving issues related to employee relations asset protection and/or code of business.

- Respond to questions pertaining to benefit plans compensation program and stock option policies and procedures (e.g. taxation of options) for global HR partners vendors and associates.

- Maintain compliant Human Resource records management systems (e.g. HR administration payroll benefits).

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent related work experience

- At least 3 years Employment Law: Knowledge of regulatory laws that affect employment. This includes an understanding of ADA FMLA and Title VII/Civil Rights Act

- Knowledge of regulatory laws that impact associate issues. Information Retention: Knowledge of retention requirements (e.g. type duration) for employment or HR information.

- Knowledge of data analysis methods which includes the ability to analyze and interpret data.
