responsibilities:
  • Act as commissions system expert on calculations, tables, processes and other components within the commissions system
  • Oversee the investment banking data upload and release process; evaluates and implements process improvements
  • Ensure commission calculations comply with RR agreements; manages all exceptions to RR agreements
  • Assist and guide lower level Commissions Associates
  • Acting Manager of Commissions when VP is absent
  • Perform other duties related to departmental success as assigned
 
qualifications:
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to lead and act as point person for junior staff
  • Knowledge of FINRA Regulatory rules and the securities industry as it relates to the position
  • Familiarity with office and accounting technology systems, procedures, and process requirements
  • Strong familiarity with financial services industry concepts
  • Highly organized and proactive including the ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong problem resolution skills
  • The ability to overcome obstacles in a cooperative, professional, and respectful fashion
  • Demonstrates team-oriented skills including the fostering of harmonious relations with all customers; both internal and external to the team
