job summary:
A fortune 100 consumer services company, is currently seeking a dynamic and process driven Buyer for an immediate 12 month assignment. The Buyer role will support the Procurement Operations group within the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement organization. The department works closely with internal associates, customers, Sourcing Analysts, and external Suppliers to understand business requirements for goods and services.

Buyer responsibilities include:

  • MUST have 5 - 7 years experience executing purchase orders
  • Candidates should have experience reviewing NDA's and working with legal to ensure acceptance/compliance.
  • Must have experience with processing requisitions and creating purchase orders
  • Must have experience with Sourcing basic purchases consisting of commodity material, equipment, and services
  • Should have experience negotiating basic terms and conditions such as price, delivery, and payment terms
  • Should have experience with invoice reconciliation management
  • Assists and enables Business Partners in fulfilling orders against centrally-managed contracts
  • Experience with DocuSign or other e-signature tools preferred
  • Supports operational procurement activities, including creating/verifying that purchase orders are paid appropriately
Qualifications:

- Must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 to 7 years related experience

- Preferable, but not essential, experience in sourcing and contract negotiation for Financial Services or Investment Research Services.

- Experience with DocuSign or other e-signature tools preferred

- Ability to manage complexity

- Highly organized and ability to prioritize work and competing priorities among various stakeholders

- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel (pivot tables, Vlook up & charts), Word, Outlook Power Point and SharePoint; SAP experience strongly preferred

- Must be a strong communicator and comfortable speaking to all levels of the organization and suppliers
