Senior Staff Accountant

job summary:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of accounting functions, including, but not limited to:

  • Preparation of journal entries, review and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and monthly accruals, and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Preparing financial statements and analyze monthly variances, in conjunction with FP&A
  • Managing cash and reconciliation process, and provide guidance to Accounts Receivable team
  • Assisting with and prepare information for annual audits and tax filings
  • Maintaining compliance with US GAAP and other regulations
  • Maintaining sales and use tax reconciliation and review related tax returns
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
  • 3+ years of accounting experience; a blend of public and private accounting desired
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, inventory, and revenue accounting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and knowledge of ERP is required.
