Finance Manager

job summary:
A Fortune 100 organization located in the Atlanta area is looking for Finance Managers for a 18 to 24 month contract opportunity supporting their Finance Operations. This Finance Manager will manage and coordinate the ongoing communication, maintenance, and monitoring of standard data and performance measures.

Primary Overview

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the development, execution and maintenance of analyses and reporting to support the finance organization and other structural changes. Utilizes financial, operational and marketplace knowledge to gather information and conduct analyses and other structural changes on performance.

Works closely with the analytical community to identify and leverage key data sources, reporting, and analytical frameworks to incorporate into development of analysis to support monthly financial reporting, business planning and/or business performance analytics. Conducts sensitivity analysis and presents findings to team and others.

Position Responsibilities

ANALYSIS

  • Understands structural changes to ensure alignment between the various functions
  • Explains and incorporates analytical findings in the development of monthly reporting, business plans and business performance management routines
  • Leverages analysis to identify meaningful trends and insights
  • Maintains strong relationships with finance, strategy & planning, and analytical communities to identify meaningful information sources, analytical methodologies and available reporting
  • Rigorously maintains integrity of team-owned information databases, definitions, and relationships such that they can be continuously leveraged by the team in all analytical activities
REPORTING

  • Develops and tests various prototype reports to understand impact key business components
  • Works with Reporting to standardize and produce
  • Team subject matter expert on appropriate use of data sources
GOVERNANCE

  • Supports development of reporting and analysis Governance approach
  • Represents Financial Budgeting & Forecasting Team needs in the rationalization of reporting and analytics
Education:

Minimum Required:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or other highly analytical disciplines

Preferred Level:

MBA or similar graduate degree strongly preferred

Experience:

Minimum Required:

Minimum 9 years business reporting and analysis experience, preferably in the food and/or CPG industry or related consulting. Multi-functional experience including strategic planning, business planning, financial and business analysis, marketing, operations

Specialized Technical Skills:

Minimum Required:

Advanced quantitative and analytical skills

Highly developed reporting and modeling skills and advanced technical acumen using Excel and Access
