High growth global 300M+ revenue professional services company is currently looking for a Senior Accountant for their Corporate Accounting team. This is a growth company with a very strong corporate accounting team and this role will help oversee a variety of corporate accounting functions, financial reporting, technical accounting projects, and other accounting functions. Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of experience including public accounting experience. Will consider candidate directly out of public accounting or with a mixed public / industry background.

responsibilities:
Position Summary:

We are seeking a full-time, experienced Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager. The candidate must be very flexible and highly committed to quality, customer service, teamwork and supporting Firm and department goals in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with established schedule
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Manager's attention
  • Review inter-company transactions
  • Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
  • Review the preparation of journal entries, various reports, and financial statements prepared by Accounting Staff
  • Assist with analyzing financial statements and report on variances
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements for subsidiaries on a timely and accurate basis including reconciliation to local books
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS and other professional, legal and regulatory rules and standards
  • Prepare and/or review schedules with the Accounting team to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit for US and foreign subsidiaries
  • Provide training to Accounting Staff as needed
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures ensuring adequate internal controls
  • Contributing to the organization in a professional manner with a positive attitude
  • Work collaboratively and communicate often with several internal departments
  • Be able to take on ad-hoc projects as they occur and are requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the department grows and changes
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications
 
qualifications:
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, CPA a plus but not required
  • Public accounting experience and US GAAP knowledge required
  • Familiarity with other accounting standards such as IFRS a plus
  • Practical accounting experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational skills, follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office. Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to initiate process improvements and multi-task
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Committed to quality customer service (internal and external)
  • Consistent attendance and reliability
