SUMMARY:

We are working with a successful tech company in Boston, looking to add a professional Accounts Receivable Specialist to their strong accounting team. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is located in the center of the Financial District. This is a full time, direct hire role, offering a competitive salary and generous benefits package.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your day to day duties will entail:

  • Managing all accounts receivable functions including invoicing, credit and collections, recording and posting cash and credit card payments
  • Ensuring that billings are accurate with regards to any applicable sales tax; assist with the sales tax filings
  • Maintaining A/R Aging report and engage in collection efforts to reduce aging, using payment plans if necessary.
  • Maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; prepare reporting for management
  • Assisting with balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations including accounts receivable, allowance for bad debt and bad debt expense
  • Supporting the Company in the annual audit process
QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate for the Accounts Receivable role will possess:

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting role focused on billings and collections; high-growth tech industry experience a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with Payscape and/or Netsuite a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and solve problems
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • BS/BA in Accounting
