Immigration Specialist

job summary:
Position Description:

  • The Immigration Specialist supports all aspects of the company's immigration program to ensure employees and clients who are foreign nationals obtain and maintain work authorization and visas.
  • In this role, you will strategically provide efficient and high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Implement and ensure consistent immigration policy in our rapidly-growing and fast paced Company; and support the business needs of the Company, its employees and its clients.
  • You will contribute to ensure our external immigration counsel is upholding accuracy of immigration petitions with randomize reviews as well as participate in building our existing immigration policy documents and programs.
  • We are looking for someone who has had at least 5yrs of immigration paralegal experience but looking for more project-based work.
Responsibilities:

  • Ability to turn complex immigration concepts and procedures into clear and understandable actions for those not familiar with U.S. immigration .
  • Ensure external counsel is held accountable with their agreed service level agreements .
  • Work cross-functional to update program philosophy & strategy .
  • Implement timely policy program updates for accuracy Ability to own certain part of the program
Top Three Responsibilities:

  • Document Immigration program philosophy & policy as it relates to wider Mobility programs
  • Review immigration petitions from external immigration vendor
  • Advise on immigration cases with People Operations clients
Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience 5+yrs of U.S. corporate immigration paralegal experience

Desired Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with working in high-stressed and fast-moving environment/client
  • Ability to digest information quickly and explain it in simple terms
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, and collaboration skills
  • Extreme attention to detail even when balancing multiple simultaneous projects
