Billing Specialist

job summary:
Our Professional Services client has an immediate need for an experienced Billing Specialist who is excellent in a client facing role. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and naturally helpful, willing to work a problem to its successful conclusion. A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar is mandatory. The Billing Specialist will be an important member of the Accounting and Operations function and is expected to be the face of the company. Responsibilities

  • Enter charges accurately and expeditiously to ensure proper records handling and fast payment responses
  • Post payments in a timely manner
  • Initiate private pay collections after insurance cancellation, denial or other issue
  • Research and resolve client billing problems or issues
  • Assist patients and their families with applying for CareCredit and other financial solutions
  • Document payment records and issues as they occur
  • Excellent customer service skills and phone manner
  • Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
