Finance Analyst

job summary:
An established Northern California pharmaceutical and consumer products company is seeking a Finance Analyst to drive analytics within the department. Finance candidates experienced in service or consumer product industries are encouraged to apply.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, update and develop business and financial analytics for the Company
  • Gather and maintain monthly sales reports. Assist in preparation of presentations, metrics, charts, tables, graphs and business-related metrics
  • Organize, automate, and synchronize data processes for the creation of dashboards
  • Contribute to Finance & Economics department with key analysis using statistical forecasting techniques and interactive dashboards
  • Contribute to the monthly update of our sales reports and databases preparation of forecasts and data projections for our products
  • Handle confidential information and facilitate communication between appropriate departments
  • Perform research on industry and macroeconomic conditions. Provide accurate and timely reports for performance monitoring
  • Daily maintenance and further develop our business and financial analytics and dashboards for the company
  • Maintain, develop and deliver ad hoc financial data, economic reports and business presentations for finance, marketing, business development and sales departments
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on financial and sales data
  • Create financial data reports and sales projects per product line
  • Populate business presentations and analytical reports for senior management
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or Marketing
  • 1-4 years' experience
  • Proficiency in Excel (Advanced a plus), Access and other statistical tools

    • Proven mastery of all MS Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Experience with Tableau, Qlik, Power BI and/or other visualization software (a plus)
    • Capacity for statistical modeling and advanced statistical analysis
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
    • Able to synthesize critical actionable insights from multiple sources utilizing collaboration and shared accountability
    • Excellent time management skills with solid oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to apply well-rounded business acumen and analytical skills to resolve complex business problems and deliver meaningful business recommendations
    • Must be strong with data, able to manage a project from start to finish
    • Independent, resourceful, takes initiative, and has the ability to build strong relationships
