Cost Accountant

job summary:
General Role Responsibility:

Determines costs and pricing of new product offerings using the cost information in the inventory system, as well as costs in the general ledger. Provide operations support and analysis for labor, losses, yields, etc. Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.

  • Determines costs and pricing of new product offerings using the cost information in the inventory system, as well as costs in the general
  • Provide operations support and analysis for labor, losses, yields,
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; reconciling
  • Conducts monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Reviews all inter-company transactions and generates invoices as necessary
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts
  • Prepares and maintains metrics reporting in Excel
  • Fixed asset/ capital tracking and reporting
Cost Accountant Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong accounting knowledge and experience (3 years+)
  • Previous cost accounting experience (3 years+)
  • Ability to complete complex reconciliations and strong analytical skills
  • Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Thoroughness, Team player, Good communication skills
  • Strong excel skills - comfortable manipulating data with pivot tables
