The Business Management and Strategy team has 8 FTE in New York, London, Glasgow and Baltimore. The team is responsible for driving the strategy of SSBO, innovation in SSBO, financial management and business planning for SSBO. The team works extensively with the Team Managers, the Central Finance team, HR, IT, Divisional Management and Project teams to provide SSBO Senior Management with financial and planning support that facilitates business decisions and strategic planning for the 2100 person organization.

Position Description

SSBO COO requires a dynamic professional with strong commercial experience and acumen to support business management activities with a specific emphasis on document production related to financial controls, reporting and analysis for Global SSBO. The role will be based in Baltimore.

The Document Designer will makes producing high quality, workflows, procedures and other branded documents to support the organisation's communications strategy. The role requires process improvement and an interest in automation e.g. the ability to create automated communications resulting in fewer mistakes and increased accuracy.

The typical design creative process can involve:

- discussing the client's core message and target audience.

- brainstorming visual and copy ideas with other members of the team.

- writing and presenting a few options to clients.

- modifying copy until the client is satisfied.

- overseeing the production phase.

The Document Designer will be accountable for checking all the content for accuracy and appropriateness.

Preferred Skills:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent certification.

- Experience working in a finance or business management team within a large business.

- Expense management experience including budgeting and financial reporting.

- Advanced document production applications and MS Suite skills.

- Ability to work with large datasets and transform/inform them into useful business intelligence and narrative.

- Sound communication skills and ability to tailor communication style for senior management.

- Highly discrete, discerning and mature, with strong team working, relationship management and leadership capability.

- Possess strong networking, written and verbal communication skills; capable of building cross-team relationships.

- Must be a self-starter, able to manage own time and deliverables and comfortable driving execution.

- Must be able to challenge, develop and improve processes.

- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to adapt existing skills in a new environment quickly.

- Ability to understand complex problems quickly and move projects forward.

- Accuracy and attention to detail is fundamental to being successful in role.
