Compensation Lead

job summary:
Our client is a nationwide award winning organization in their industry. They are located in the Philadelphia area. They are looking to hire a Compensation Lead for their new department. This is a newly created role to build a Compensation process and procedure for this nation wide organization. This position will report to the SVP of HR with high visibility. This role will lead the design, development, and implementation of their compensation program. Additionally, you will have the ability to implement policies and procedures for all positions in all markets nationwide including executives, sales and all other positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of compensation policies, programs, tools and training to support the organizations business strategy also including:

    • Pay policies, practices and philosophy
    • Job evaluations and description, job leveling and career ladders
    • Salary structures
    • market competitive surveys and benchmarketing
    • Annual merit and bonus process
    • Monitoring and development of adherence to compensation guidelines and policies and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct analysis and develop techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data for compensation related initiative and projects
  • Consult with and provide counsel and oversight to HR Business
  • Responsible for ensuring through audits, legal reports to make sure compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with policies and government regulations
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 7+ years experience in compensation in a larger organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skill, both quantitative and qualitative and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience in compensation management tools and surveys
  • Demonstrated teamwork and relationship-building skills and ability to lead by influence and example
