Communications and Change Management Specialist

job summary:
Communications and Change Management Resource - Tampa, FL

  • This is a contract role expected to last 6 months.
  • The Communications and Change Management Resource plays a highly critical role in delivering innovative communication strategies and approaches from conception to execution.Through an end-to-end communication plan and coordinated and consistent messaging, this role facilitates and galvanizes change initiatives by building audience awareness, engagement, and support at all levels of the enterprise.
Communications and Change Management Resource - Job Duties:

This role will also align with and support the Change Management Lead on all changes to systems, business processes, technology, organization structures, and job roles. As a thought partner and collaborator in the execution of change initiatives, responsibilities also include development of various change management processes, such as change readiness assessments, managing resistance to change, etc.

  • Develop and execute communication plans and strategies for all audiences
  • Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage the communication plan and work the plan across the project team
  • Provide support and counsel to stakeholders, executive leaders and work stream leads on specific communication strategies.
  • Lead various communications campaigns and implement key communications deliverables
  • Partner with internal communication leads to understand, coordinate and deliver communications deliverables
  • Prioritize communication messages and determine the optimum distribution channels
  • Produce and manage communication materials such as writing and editing copy for channels such as the intranet, newsletters, kickoff meetings, etc. Manage the review process and the distribution of such.
  • Strong written communication skills with ability to synthesize complex information/data into key messages across broad audiences.
  • Ability to bring key messages to life leveraging creative and interactive media and tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Infographs, Manager Toolkits, etc.)
  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
  • Help solve issues, create value, maximize growth, and improve the business performance.
  • Identify options for, and suggest recommendations for change.
  • Provide assistance to implement change management solutions.
  • Complete change management assessments
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Consult and coach project teams
  • Co-Manage the change portfolio tasks and plans
Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience required
  • This role requires a strong background in successfully delivering high value communications that drive business objectives and support project management activities.
  • Success in this role is highly dependent upon exceptional writing skills combined with creative thinking, a balance between a strategic and an executional mindset, and project management skills.
