Accounting Manager

Healthcare company is seeking an Accounting Manager for a Contract to Hire position. Accounting Manager is responsible for daily cash flow, bank reconciliation, GL, financial reporting, journal entries, assisting in budget planning. This person will have 12 Direct Reports and will be overseeing the GL and AP functions.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities





- Directs activities of subordinate staff engaged in preparing and reconciling general ledger accounts, cash management and accounts payable processing.









- Develops and monitors short- and long-term goals and objectives for area of responsibility in concert with area-wide objectives and initiatives.









- Develops, recommends and oversees implementation and administration of policies / procedures for areas of responsibility. Reviews staff and management recommendations regarding changes.









- Interviews, hires, trains, assigns work to, evaluates the performance of and, when necessary, disciplines and discharges subordinate personnel.









- Prepares and / or directs preparation of financial statements, tax documents and supporting schedules, journal entries and financial analyses to reflect the financial status of entity(s).









- Acts as a liaison between accounting / finance area and other departments, physicians, vendors, auditors and corporate staff in resolving complex or technical issues, providing or obtaining financial and operational information, making presentations and coordinating accounting related activities.









Requirements

- at least 5 years of Accounting experience

- Healthcare/Hospital experience highly preferred

- Supervisory experience required
