Human Resources Manager

job summary:
Leading warehouse company in the Silicon Valley is looking for a HR manager to join their team. The individual must be eager, take ownership, and think outside of the box to manage the HR department. Candidate must be able to tackle multiple projects such as creating HR functions and policies, recruiting, onboarding procedures, and understand labor laws of multiple states. Must be hands-on and utilize critical thinking on a regular basis. Experience in construction or warehouse highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement human resources functions that apply to all employees across all companies.
  • Create human resources functions such as policies, procedures, and practices that the company will follow.
  • Provide expertise of human resources best practices by ensuring compliance with applicable labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage the human resources responsibilities including recruiting, onboarding, worker's comp, and employee relations.
  • Communicate effectively by collaborating human resources needs with other departments and team members such as Safety and executives of the company.
  • Be extremely hands on to create human resource functions that are organized and effective for the company.
 
qualifications:
Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective management in the human resources department.
  • Ability to make decisions in implementing HR functions, onboarding, and implementations of policies for the company.
  • Experience in construction or warehouse.
  • Willingness to take ownership, be innovative, creative, and be hands-on of all responsibilities in the human resources department.
  • ADP for Payroll a plus, advanced skills in Excel required.
