HR Generalist

job summary:
A leading manufacturing company is seeking a HR Generalist. Candidate will be the point of contact for HR systems, programs, and administration. This individual would be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, on-boarding, new hire orientation, compensation administration, employee benefits, compliance, and serve as a backup for payroll. The HR Generalist will also assist in possible implementation systems.

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of related experience, knowledge of HR compliance and regulations, familiar with ATS and HRIS systems, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Excel.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact on HR systems, programs, and administration.
  • Manage recruitment activities for the sites, including sourcing, screening, interviewing processes, and drafting offer letters.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance. Revise/update them when necessary.
  • Provide guidance to managers and supervisors regarding implementation of human resources policies and procedures to ensure appropriate and fair human resources practices.
  • Complete new hire orientation, the onboarding processes, transfer and assist with Payroll.
  • Assist in all areas of compensation and Benefits administration.
  • Assist in developing and conducting various training programs as required.
  • Participate in HR projects/teams as requested. Continuously improve internal processes, procedures and organizational systems.
  • Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience with Employee Benefits, Employment Contracts, HR reporting and Payroll
  • Must exhibit a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Self-starter who is well organized, high attention to detail and can handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven and ever changing environment.
  • Comfortable with deadlines and consistently pushes self and others for results; eliminates roadblocks.
