We need a solid accounting professional to provide accurate financial information to management by reviewing and analyzing data as well as financial statement preparation. You should have extensive experience in Public or Corporate Accounting to get our attention. Advanced knowledge of major Accounting software programs such as Excel, SAP, JD Edwards, Great Plains, preferred.

Manage consolidation process of financial statements in TM1 system coordinating with Controllers at the business level. Analyze reports for all business units to ensure accuracy and work with businesses to resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Analyze and monitor the transactions taking place and ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with GAAP. Complete account analysis for various accounts on a monthly basis.

Prepare monthly financial statements for Corporate by department. Analyze the statements for accuracy and ensure costs are properly recorded.

Prepare schedules for income tax reporting including but not limited to business SALT(State and Local Tax) schedules and M-3 schedules. Understand tax laws to ensure the company is taking advantage of tax opportunities.

Act as liaison with the bank to include daily bank transactions including daily cash position, interest reconciliation, Libor contracts. Maintain signers and other information on all bank accounts.

Assist in budget and reforecast process. Responsible for compiling consolidated P&L reports and completing BS once the business reports are updated. Coordinate with Controllers at the business level.

Participate in the review and updating of accounting policies and procedures for standardization across the board. Lead implementation of various policies and procedures company wide.

Compile monthly reporting package for owners, quarterly reporting package for bank and other ad hoc reporting as needed. Analyze the data to ensure accuracy of reports.

Additional Duties:

Prepare year end schedules and support for external audit.

Prepare census reports as required.

Ad hoc accounting and financial projects.

Comply with all Health and Safety guidelines. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Perform other duties as required or assigned

BS. in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum of 1 year of experience within a public accounting firm.

3-5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting

Well organized and self directed with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Ability to independently complete multiple time-sensitive tasks

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to interface effectively both internally and externally.

Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computerized accounting software
