Accounts Receivable Analyst

job summary:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for the daily management of a dedicated portfolio with a focus on maximizing cash collection by analyzing account performance, improving the status of delinquent accounts, and communicating with internal and external customers to increase cash flow and reduce risk.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

30% - Maintain daily communication with customers via email and phone on payment status

25% - Analyze trends and identify potential for process improvement within assigned portfolio

25% - Collaborate with customers within and outside the organization to resolve disputes

10% - Prepare credit memos, check requests, and write-offs for approval of credit management

10% - Maintain account level/invoice level notes

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This Job has no supervisory responsibilities.

DECISION-MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES:

This Job has no decision-making responsibilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Required Experience: 2 years of experience managing commercial accounts receivable portfolios

Desirable Education/Experience: Associate degree in Business or Accounting or equivalent work experience
