Accounts Receivable Specialist

job summary:
Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts.
  • Resolve invoice inquiries from vendor & accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient reconciliation of accounts.
  • Reviews and monitors accounts receivable aging reports.
  • Investigate and resolve issues interfering with the proper application of cash receipts, including inadequate (or missing) information on customer remittance.
  • Respond in a timely manner to any customers and sales territory managers' inquiries or issues via phone or email.
  • Provide audit evidence (Invoices, contracts) during quarterly audit.
  • Enter manual invoices & credits into the ERP system upon request.
  • Assist with SOX testing and compliance testing.
  • Special projects as assigned when needed.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting preferred.
  • 1-2 Collections or Accounts Receivables experience preferred.
  • Sales force experience (highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of patient billing terminology, collections, EOBs, Medicare, contract adjustments.
  • Excel skills (pivot table, sum-ifs and lookups at a minimum).
  • Self- starter, with the ability to set and manage priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast growing environment while proactively managing workload and management expectations.
  • Knowledge of GAAP with strong problem- solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to work well independently and within a team.
