Bilingual Bookkeeper

job summary:
Randstad Professionals is currently assisting our client located in Lancaster, PA with a Bilingual Bookkeeper. Pay is $17-$20 an hour. Contract/temporary to hire.

The bilingual bookkeeper specialist is responsible for accurate records of financial record keeping, creating invoices, purchasing supplies, and working on special projects. Also answer non-routine correspondence and assemble confidential and sensitive information. Deals with customers, a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software (SAP) and regularly reconciling accounts.
  • Pay debts as they come due for payment, including necessary bills as well as supplier and vendor invoices.
  • Obtain necessary tax forms from new vendors.
  • Maintain the annual budget and chart of accounts.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
  • Make deposits and record all cash receipts.
  • Distribute customer invoices and ensure that receivables are collected in a timely manner.
  • Manage the office petty cash fund.
  • Assist with audits.
  • Track and maintain inventory records.
  • Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system.
  • Provide administrative support to management when required.
  • EDI Invoicing (e-invoicng)
Skills

  • Minimum 2 years Bookkeeping exp.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy including close and continual monitoring and checking of processes and work tasks
  • Work planning and management including scheduling and prioritizing work tasks to meet strict deadlines
  • Efficient data collection, review and management plus good data entry skills
  • Able to identify problems quickly and accurately and implement workable solutions
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality regulations and ethical standards
  • The ability to communicate effectively with other employees and stakeholders
  • How to use Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) e-invoicing a plus
