The relatively small Operations Team is responsible for completing daily, monthly, and quarterly, and annual activities in order to fulfill its responsibilities. Daily activities include the review, archival, and processing of information received from investment managers, vendors, and other third parties. On a monthly basis, the Operations Team is responsible for closing the investment pool's books and reporting financial results, including investment performance.

The assigned professional will work closely with the Operations Manager to learn and follow standard procedures for initiating, verifying, and recording transactions as the organization "shadows" the accounting and transactional work done by its custodian, responds to internal and external queries, and validates and disseminates financial and other data across platforms.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the investment industry, and experience working as an operational or accounting professional within an asset allocator, investment administrator, or similar financial institution. The candidate must be intelligent, adaptable, and able to learn quickly and follow directions closely. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the ability to master specialized financial software applications quickly and have a strong background in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, with high proficiency in the use of Excel a must. A background check will be required, as well as substance screening and execution of a non-disclosure agreement.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least a bachelor's degree;
  • At least 2 years of experience working within an investment advisory organization or other financial institution, ideally in a fund accounting, operations, or related role;
  • Must be intelligent, adaptable, and able to learn quickly;
  • Immediate start date for the right candidate.
