Job Summary

The Community Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of a strategic plan set forth by the Market leadership that supports the goals of the organization. A primary focus of this position is to generate awareness as it pertains to the Sr. Center and specifically to the WellMed healthcare delivery system on-site. This position is also responsible for providing assistance with special projects and educational efforts as directed by management. The Community Marketing Liaison works closely with the Sr. Center Manager, the Clinic Administrator, Brokers on-site staffing the Medicare Information Center and the local Physician Marketing Liaison and Coordinator. This position will help customers and potential customers by providing vital resource information and materials and also help triage customer service issues as they arise. This position is accountable for lead generation supporting Market membership goals for both growth and retention.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborates with the Marketing/Growth Executive Leadership and the Director, Community Outreach to execute an action plan for Sr. Center support, territory activities and community outreach to support market growth and retention.
  • Responsible for engagement (i.e. face-to-face interaction) with prospects and current patients at the Sr. Center, community events and identifies opportunities within the Medicare eligible population.
  • Act as a liaison between insurance agents and WellMed, ensuring that they are accurately describing all the services that WellMed offers.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating event/activity documentation, as well as calendar updates.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with community contacts/agencies, health care delivery system administration, physicians and other staff as well as local contracted health plan staff/brokers & agents. In addition, develops and maintains professional partnerships with Community Senior Centers of Influence.
  • Conducts group presentations at various events or community/professional meetings to generate leads and raise awareness of the WellMed healthcare delivery system.
  • Completes all necessary reports and deliverables as requested by leadership according to established deadlines.
  • Collaborates with outside vendors as needed to fulfill program initiatives.
  • Liaises with corporate and market representatives on marketing collaterals needed for special events, advertisement initiatives and other requests submitted by senior leadership.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3 years or more customer services related experience with an additional 2 or more years in an administrative capacity
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Be able to work flexible hours including some weekends if needed
  • Must be able to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times
  • Must be able to speak English and Spanish fluently
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Speaking or Marketing Experience making formal presentations
  • Experience coordinating Event planning
  • Knowledge and experience in healthcare specific to Medicare
Physical & Mental Requirements: (check all that apply)
