Accounts Receivable Analyst

job summary:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for the daily management of a dedicated portfolio with a focus on maximizing cash collection by analyzing account performance, improving the status of delinquent accounts, and communicating with internal and external customers to increase cash flow and reduce risk.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These are the most significant job duties performed; other responsibilities or assignments not specifically mentioned may also be assigned

  • 30% - Maintain daily communication with customers via email and phone on payment status
  • 25% - Analyze trends and identify potential for process improvement within assigned portfolio
  • 25% - Collaborate with customers within and outside the organization to resolve disputes
  • 10% - Prepare credit memos, check requests, and write-offs for approval of credit management
  • 10% - Maintain account level/invoice level notes
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Required Education : High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum Required Experience: 2 years of experience managing commercial accounts receivable portfolios
  • Desirable Education/Experience: Associate degree in Business or Accounting or equivalent work experience

      • Demonstrates ability to create complex formulas in MS Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, if/then function, etc.).
Work Space

  • Office / cubicle work space with moderate noise level.
Hours of Work/Travel

  • 40 hours during normal business hours (ranging between 8am - 6pm) weekdays only.
