HR Associate

Q-Tran (Milford, CT), a leading provider of customized LED lighting and power supply solutions, is looking to hire an HR professional. This is a new position reporting directly to the Company's President.

In this position, you will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for interaction with the ADP TotalSource: Senior Payroll Advisors, Human Resource Business Partner assigned to Q-Tran.
  • Maintains proper paperwork for ADP TotalSource for new employees starting with the Personal Data Sheet through the beginning process of the onboard procedure of ADP.
  • Provides employees with the Benefit Package explaining the Medical Benefits offered.
  • Maintains the ADP TotalSource portal for all employees. Handles the Annual Comparison for the Health Benefits.
  • Inputs employees PTOs into the system and on company calendar.
  • Maintains employee files and I-9 Binder.
  • Recruits temporary employees in the warehouse.
  • Counsels and disciplines employees.
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
  • Manages the Payroll Process Bi-Weekly.
  • Inputs the 401K Process Bi-Weekly and maintains all paperwork for Ameritas 401K Wealth Management.
  • Ensures all proper paperwork for company's HRA Program.
  • Implements and manages all Safety Risk Programs.
  • Maintains proper paperwork for Leave of Absence, Short and Long Term Disabilities.
  • Creates and maintains bi-weekly Head Count Reports.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Minimum of 4-5 years of work experience in a Human Resources position.
  • Hard working, self-motivated, team player with integrity who can perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in: ADP Payroll EZ Labor Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Physical Requirements
