Duties:

The Contracts Specialist will prepare, negotiate and secure approvals on various Professional Services Agreements for our Strategic Sourcing team. This position is located in Menlo Park, CA and will work closely with the Strategic Sourcing Managers in the Facilities, Finance and Human Resources categories. This position requires extensive knowledge of contract language, the capacity to apply concepts across a variety of agreements, and the ability to work on complex contracts. The Contracts Specialist must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent tight deadlines under minimal supervision and must also be comfortable working collaboratively, efficiently and effectively with both internal clients and external vendors.

Skills:

Review, negotiate, prepare, execute and manage Professional Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments, and Addendums

Analyze supplier labor rates and negotiate associated mark-ups and costs

Ensure business activities and contracts comply with internal policies and guidelines, and industry laws and regulation

Partner closely with Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, and Legal teams

Manage, coordinate, and support special projects as needed

Education:

At least 5 years of substantive contract drafting and negotiation experience

Highly motivated and able to think clearly under pressure

Able to prioritize and use available tools to be highly productive and manage high volumes

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Proven skills in consulting with internal business clients

Ability to flourish in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity

Strong analytical skills

Ability to balance legal/contractual issues with business risk

Disciplined, organized, and flexible

Adept in working with MS Office, various databases, and contract management systems

Proficiency with Oracle sourcing and procurement tools a plus
