Securities Ops Specialist

job summary:
High Level Summary

This team member will be responsible for the initial review and approval of shareholder presentments for a corporate actions event. This team member will also be responsible for recording shareholder elections into a tracking database and/or excel document. This position may also be responsible for prepping documents and doing the final back end scanning process.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Opening mail
  • Reviewing documents presented by shareholders and determining if the documents are in good order
  • Entering shareholder elections into a database or excel document
  • Reviewing data entered by others for accuracy
  • Prepping documents for back end scanning
Education Requirements

  • High School
Experience Requirements

  • Experience in an operational environment
  • Previous experience with document review and data entry
Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in an operational environment
  • Previous experience with document review and data entry
  • Must be able to effectively read, write and speak English.
  • May require the need to travel to other locations.
  • Willing and able to work extended hours as needed.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate
  • Constantly searches for opportunities to add value and reduce costs for the Business and Clients.
  • Continuously learns and improves from experience and shares this with others.
  • Involves and leverages knowledge of others in decision-making and problem solving.
  • Makes decisions by evaluating options and uses commercial and market awareness to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Effective use of own time and commits to realistic deadlines
