Sr. Analyst, Customer Requirements Planning

JOB PURPOSE:

Lead cross-functional teams within the Residential & Landscape Contractor (RLC) Division in the Mass channel sales fulfillment and analysis function, including: delivery planning, order management, logistics, and business reporting. Develop and execute strategies (retail, sales promotions, supply & demand management, marketing programs and inventory control) to achieve annual sales and profitability objectives in partnership and support of the Mass Sales, RLC Marketing and the RLC leadership teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Act as the primary link between the Companies and residential direct mass accounts for the purposes of gathering and analyzing sales data and executing against requirements for consigned distribution centers, customer distributions centers, and transit facilities relevant to the companies residential product categories.

· Serve as the "Power User" for the RLC Mass Sales team for the Qlikview application and any other application / data management tools that are chosen to support the business.

· Provide retail sales and vendor managed inventory analysis to senior leadership team, account managers, marketing, order services, finance and other stakeholders as needed.

· Lead a cross-functional team in the sales forecasting/reporting process with input from the national account manager team.

Provide direction on suggested changes as necessary and assure product is available and in stock, and that customer is able to meet our delivery commitments.

o Inventory forecasting and planning

o Consigned/store inventory management

o customer/transit facilities operations

o Financial analysis

· Develop relationships with key customer supply chain personnel and oversee the replenishment process. Provide shipping appointment times and dates as necessary.

· Create suggested orders based on sales and inventory data to meet both the companies and customer financial objectives.

· Ensure the companies and customer systems are loaded with consistent, accurate data and information to facilitate uninterrupted product supply to all stores.

· Partner with the national account manager(s) to prepare specific market requirements necessary to support the following activities:

· Store mix by product

· Monthly / quarterly annual product flows by SKU / product category

· Promotion / program opportunities

· Supplier Partnership Agreement meetings

· Category product line review presentations

· Divisional annual / long-range planning meetings

· Recommend promotion and program changes to national account manager / director of mass sales to achieve department and divisional financial goals. Assist with all other sales-related support as required.

· All other duties as assigned.

JOB DIMENSIONS:

· Develop key relationships with customers to ensure the efficient and accurate exchange of retail and order data. Ensure all cross-functional stakeholders are aware of and in compliance with customer requirements.

· Primary team interface with SAP and Qlikview to assist in the forecasting of whole goods and accessories for all residential product categories for mass accounts. Facilitate Qlikview training for other Mass Sales team members.

· Work with the Mass Customer Order Services team, as necessary, to provide direction and support on product and account related issues.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university. Business Administration, Finance/Economics, or Math preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret retail sales trends. Must possess effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
  • Should possess self-initiative and independent decision-making abilities.
  • Sales operations or supply chain background preferred. 5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales analysis or supply chain positions with related responsibilities. Durable goods experience preferred.
  • Strong navigational knowledge of an enterprise system (SAP preferred) important.
  • High level of proficiency with key corporate information systems (ex. Excel, Qlikview, MSBI, Tableau, Salesforce CRM, Access).
  • Excellent analytical, accounting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to research, understand, and depict complex retail trends and business opportunities / impacts.
