Accountant

job summary:
General Accounting

- Checks figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.

- Classifies, records and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers.

- Debits, credits and totals accounts.

- Processes weekly payroll.

- Receives, records, and banks checks and other financial transactions.

- Enter Transactions through QuickBooks system.

- Executes the weekly payment of documented expenses.

- Maintains the financial transaction ledgers associated with the business.

- Facilitates daily postal runs, addresses all incoming and outgoing mail and provides correspondence to the appropriate parties.

- Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

- Compiles financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables of cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.

- Reconciles or notes and reports discrepancies found in records.

- Files and maintains all financial records/statements.

- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, QuickBooks;

- Articulate and dedicated, extremely detail-oriented, efficient,effective at multi-tasking and able to work with minimal supervision.

- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
