Ethics and Compliance Associate

job summary:
The Strategic Operations Team supports the Ethics & Compliance (E&C) functional teams by facilitating the strategic direction, and providing operational, program, and project management support. This includes input to communications, work plans, project scope, resources, timing, interdependencies, process improvement.

This role will collaborate with, and provide support to, E&C functional teams and other stakeholders to address requests and inquiries, and provide support for projects and programs. This role will be expected to:

- communicate effectively and professionally, via e-mail or phone, with client partners and staff regarding their Core Compliance Requirements and other required compliance/training requirements

- review reports and identify/track partners and staff who are non-compliant and require follow-up

- work with partners and staff who may be having technical issues and communicate those to the appropriate resource (e.g., L&D, E&C) to get resolved

- perform multiple tasks that require fast learning and adaptability

- identify critical issues and communicate effectively to manager/supervisor about these issues and potential solutions

- manage challenging situations

Basic Qualifications:

- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Suite.

- Must have proven ability to write, communicate, facilitate and present across all levels of staff.

- Must have proven organization, analytical, problem solving, and research skills to effect process improvement opportunities.

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 2 years experience in a similar role

Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge Preferred:

- Understanding of the firm's Ethics & Compliance function and initiatives/goals

- Understanding of special functions within Excel or Microsoft Office Products to manipulate data and run reports, including the ability to create and manipulate pivot tables.

Skills Preferred:

- Show a keen attention to detail and to manage the completion of tasks and requirements to set deadlines

- Able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

- Communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing

- Flexible; with the ability to work well independently and as a team.

- Understand complex policies, apply policies to a myriad of scenarios, and utilize judgment appropriately

- Demonstrate professional maturity, sound judgment, integrity and attention to confidentiality

- Assist in the development of presentations and complex technical documents

- Work on ad hoc assignments while executing daily responsibilities

- Work productively in an environment with evolving deadlines and priorities

- Identify problems before crises arise, notify stakeholders and leaders and propose solutions

- Use and learn new systems and technology effectively and efficiently

- Support process improvement projects and successfully deliver results

Location: Tampa. Office will be the Lakepoint office until November, and then the 4040 Boy Scout Blvd office for the rest of the contract.
