Description:

Role description: The Mutual Funds Service Professional serves as a subject matter expert and point of contact for company branch personnel in regards to mutual funds and 529 products and services. Inquiries include, but are not limited to, general Mutual Fund and 529 product support, trading, journals, commissions & trails, loads & sales charges, and 529 plan account support.

Role qualifications: College degree preferred, possess general knowledge of financial markets including Mutual Funds and 529s. Working knowledge of company Wealth Management products and services.

Business justification: The role is critical to maintaining 85% service levels for the Mutual Fund line of business. Additionally, converting these agents from Temp to Full-Time company employee provides the agents with desired benefits to help retain agents with the knowledge and experience needed to support the field. Certain operational functions cannot be performed by contingent workers, this limits the amount of work we can assist NY with. By not hiring to full-time we run the risk of losing these agents to opportunities in other departments or externally which will impact our service levels and experience/knowledge that the field is accustomed to as they service their clients.
