TITLE: Planning Operations Manager

Location: Mountain View, CA, USA

We are looking for a Planning Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day space programming of Search office space. As Planning Operations Manager, you will be responsible for both strategic occupancy planning & all Move, Add, Change related inquiries.

In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and addressing team growth while partnering with client's Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) to provide multiple scenarios on how to best address increased occupancy and individualized team needs within a challenging space portfolio. Once effective solutions have been identified, you will be tasked with the delegation of implementation action items. Which include: compiling accurate headcount needs, relaying leadership strategy direction to impacted teams, and managing multiple influencers expectations in any given project and monitoring until completion.

As Planning Operations Manager, you will be tasked with successfully developing and implementing a strategic occupancy plan that accommodates the growing and diverse needs of our team.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities

- Draft space planning scenarios to address headcount growth and various team needs.

- Compile, collect and report on headcount start through attrition.

- Track key metrics on occupancy, space utilization, square footage, and more.

- Manage negotiations on large move and space reconfiguration projects.

- Manage stakeholder expectations, project scope & project cost.

Implement and maintain space allocations across the entire Bay Area Search portfolio

- Define best practices and critical deliverables related to Facilities engagement.

- Communication and change management (leadership, decision makers, priorities, etc.).

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory

at least 2 years of experience in Facilities or Workplace Services *Experience in space negotiations, headcount tracking and data sourcing *Experience in Move/Add/Change coordination, including managing large and complex moves *Experience in analyzing key occupancy metrics & drafting space planning scenarios *Experience with vendor coordination **Experience using Tririga, or other comparable FM systems and integrated workplace management solution (IWMS) software

Desired

3-4 years of experience in Facilities or Workplace services *Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with widely diverse groups, including individuals at all levels both within and outside the organization. *Strong, demonstrated personnel and project management experience *experience moving lab hardware (e.g. sensitive material)
