HR Business Partner- Sales

job summary:
The purpose of the HR Business Partner - Sales role is to allow leaders and managers to create an environment in which our employees are highly successful and engaged. The selected candidate will manage employee relations issues including conducting investigations, managing performance issues, delivering training, providing compliance, policy and procedure interpretation and coaching and counseling managers and employees. In addition, the HR Business Partner will act as a change agent for implementing HR initiatives that are aligned with the talent needs of the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance/advice to employees and managers at various levels on employee matters.
  • Coaching frontline managers in an effort to aid in their effectiveness and development.
  • Mediating employee concerns and/or complaints.
  • Conducting investigations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Meeting with managers and employees regarding performance issues.
  • Counseling Managers on appropriate corrective actions and reviewing and approving corrective action documents to ensure internal processes and policies are followed.
  • Leading recurring processes including quarterly bonus and promotions processes.
  • Facilitate trainings on employee development, coaching and other management topics.
  • Participating in the development, recommendation and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Analyzing exit interviews and other data and providing recommendations to improve employee retention.
  • Delivering aspects of new employee orientation and support the onboarding of new managers and directors.
  • Supporting managers throughout the annual performance and merit review process. Coaching Managers on writing and conducting effective performance reviews.
  • Participating in adapting/providing feedback on new approaches, policies and procedures for continual improvement of the performance management and other talent management processes.
  • Developing, implementing and administering HR initiatives and projects that support the talent needs of the Research organization.
  • Responding to unemployment claims and inquiries. Representing CoStar Group at unemployment hearings.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience; experience supporting a 100 plus employee organization preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in provincial and Canadian employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade and effectively build strong relationships with management and interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all matters.
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage time.
  • Experience producing results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Successful candidate will be self-directed, highly professional and collaborative.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve issues through active listening, good judgment and problem solving skills.
  • Experience using Workday is desired or demonstrated ability to learn how to use HRIS systems quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
