Part Time Bookkeeper

job summary:
Specializing in the Fashion, Beauty, Lifestyle, and Events industries, a leading Manhattan-based Public Relations Agency is looking to bring on an experienced Part Time Bookkeeper to join the team. With the benefits of a flexible schedule and growth potential, the Bookkeeper will report directly to the Founder and CEO of the firm.

The role will be part time (10-20 hours/wk to start).

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • General Bookkeeping duties, including Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Create and track invoices,
  • Use Quickbooks Online to enter and pay bills, cut checks, create/import invoices, and record customer payments
  • Record payroll via journal entries
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
  • Handle chargebacks and chargeback processing
  • Commissions Reporting and Payments
  • Compile reports to show statistics like cash receipts and expenditures/profit & loss
  • 1099 preparation
  • Adhoc duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Excel; Experience with Intuit Quickbooks Online and Harvest is ideal
