Payroll Administrator

job summary:
Our New Haven County client has an immediate temporary need for a Payroll Administrator. The Payroll Administrator will responsible for processing payroll for the US and Canada, interacting with a third party payroll vendor and Human Resources to oversee the recording, retaining and transmitting of weekly and bi-weekly payroll.

Requirements:

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for 2,000-5,000 employees.
  • Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
  • Reconcile quarterly and annual tax filings.
  • Administer the 401k compensation plans.
  • Maintain the payroll database for new hires, employees and record any changes.
  • Run the payroll interface and resolve errors and discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company practices as well as federal, state and local tax regulations.
Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years of Payroll Processing experience.
  • ADP is required!
  • Experience with US multi-state and Canada payroll is required!
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus!
  • Kronos is a plus!
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred!
  • FCP or CPP certification is preferred!
