responsibilities:
Responsibilities

  • Valuation Analysis

    • Conduct detailed valuation and financial modeling (including discounted cash flow, comparable transaction, accretion/dilution, EVA, sensitivity analysis, etc.) for potential transactions and other internal projects
  • Prepare and present findings to senior management in a consistent, concise manner
  • Assist in evaluating new markets for growth; market and competitive analysis, fit with organization, financial implications, and entry strategy
  • Establishes sound working relationships with support groups such as Tax, Legal, Accounting, Operations and investment bankers
  • Serves as a lead in due diligence and transaction working groups
  • Manages project timelines and milestone dates relating to M & A activities
  • Intermediary Interaction: Supports Group Director Corporate Development in maintaining dialogue with all relevant intermediaries (investment banking firms, brokers, entrepreneurs, etc.) to ensure robust access to all relevant opportunities in the M & A marketplace
  • Partners with executives and business leaders to assist in creating new initiatives, propose strategic alternatives, and assist in delivering results
 
qualifications:
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity or corporate development
  • Highly analytical with a strong, fundamental understanding of valuation concepts, including net present value, discounted cash flow and return on capital, as well as tax and legal concepts
  • Strong modeling skills and advanced level skills in MS Excel such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot Charts, queries, custom functions, data management and analysis
  • Highly skilled in PowerPoint and MS Word is essential
  • Experienced in an array of analytical methods in strategic analysis, market research, valuation analysis and financial modeling
