Assistant Controller/ Director of Accounting
Currently working with a publicly traded clinical stage biotechnology company looking for an Assistant Controller/Director of Accounting. This Assistant Controller / Director of Accounting will oversee all SEC reporting, technical accounting, run the close functions, AP, Payroll, audit function, clinical accounting, etc. Position will have direct exposure to senior leadership and play a pivotal role in the finance group overall. Qualified candidates will have 7+ years of progressive experience including public accounting experience and strong SEC reporting skills. Please apply for further consideration.

Lead all general accounting functions including SEC Reporting, Audit Management, Technical Accounting, Close and GL functions, AP, Payroll, clinical accounting, etc.
Manage and develop support staff within accounting department.
Prepare financial reports and audit committee presentations.
Support Senior Leadership with Ad-hoc projects.
7+ years of progressive experience
Public accounting and/or CPA preferred
Experience with SEC Reporting Management required
Experience with life science companies preferred but not required
