Description:

Evaluates credit risk transactions and approves, rejects, or modifies them considering the availability and appropriateness of arrangements for reducing risk or risk mitigation.

  • Assigns Internal Credit Ratings
  • Establishes and manages credit risk limits in accordance with the risk tolerance established by the Board
  • Monitors and reports on credit risk exposures on a regular basis to the Chief Risk Officer and senior management
  • Interacts with business units to ensure that credit risk assessments are factored into business decisions
  • Monitor the ongoing financial condition and performance of the borrower
Experience Required

- Bachelor's Degree required.Previous experience in private banking, lending, credit, finance a bonus

- Possess strong problem identification and solution techniques

- Detail oriented, with exceptional risk management and analytical skills.

- Well organized and able to work in a fast paced environment

- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple deliverables

- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills

- Good collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.

responsibilities:
- Monitor the ongoing financial condition and performance of the Borrower. Monitor covenant compliance. Monitor the value/condition of the collateral.

- In conjunction with Financial Advisor, maintain frequent communication with the Borrower and the Borrower's financial advisors. Keep current on major developments and changes in financial condition and identification of potential additional financing needs.

- PM is required to keep the Financial Advisor informed of relationship status and action plans on an ongoing basis.

- Ensure loan documentation accurately represents the terms of the loan approval and permits Clientto enforce its rights on the collateral in a default situation.

- Identify early warning signals in deteriorating credits. Perform regular financial, credit and lien checks. Check for covenant compliance. Make timely recommendations regarding changes in credit classification and risk rating. Develop/ implement remedial action plans.

- Provide input on due diligence on new credit requests, modifications, renewals and increases for existing clients including credit analysis, financial statement analysis, client calls and visits.

- Develop and negotiate structuring recommendations within framework of firm's credit policy and philosophy. Produce high quality credit memoranda clearly outlining transaction, purpose, strengths, risks and mitigants.

- Make approval or decline recommendations. Articulate recommendation in a clear, concise and informed manner. Demonstrate acceptable level of preparation and knowledge.

- Work with internal and external legal counsel to prepare loan documents. Negotiate and execute loan documents.

- Work closely with the Operations area and Legal Department in preparation of amendments, waivers, and loan documents.

- Manage all loan requests within stated turn times unless justified as an exception. Manage expectations through active communication with FA and/or Sales Coverage.

- Provide guidance on procedures and transaction pricing and make recommendations where appropriate.

- Responsible for the integrity of Borrower's loan data in Baker Hill, E profile, credit and documentation files.

- Ensure loan documentation conforms to terms and conditions of credit approval.

- Utilize credit authority (if delegated) in an appropriate manner in accordance with credit policies and procedures and protecting the interests of the firm.

- Responsible for maintaining accurate internal credit ratings.

- Responsible for ASC 310 analysis and recommendation of provision to the ALLL for the portfolio.

- Must escalate material individual relationship or portfolio observations promptly.

 
qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required (New College Graduates considered), previous experience in private banking, lending, credit, finance a bonus
