job summary:
We are currently looking for a Senior Fixed Asset Accountant/Fixed Asset Accounting Manager in our growing Delaware office. This Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for managing the Fixed Assets team and for the Company's fixed asset related accounting processes, including project tracking, fixed asset policy, internal and external reporting. The position will be responsible for developing, interpreting, and applying the Company's fixed asset policies and providing guidance to the operations teams. Our client is open to hire a Senior Fixed Asset person or a Manager.


In addition, the ideal candidate should have experience working in a larger company environment and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving, analytical thinking and data skill management.

responsibilities:
  • Researches, develops, and implements capital policies and guidance in compliance with Company policies and GAAP, in conjunction with the Assistant Controller
  • Oversees and provide guidance over the Company's fixed asset policies to the offshore operations team.
  • Oversees the fixed asset sub-ledger and associated reporting, including monthly financial close.
  • Account for disposition and acquisition of assets, including allocation of purchase price.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly capital spend for internal and external reporting.
  • Reviews monthly reconciliations prepared by the offshore operations team.
  • Maintains effective controls over fixed assets including monthly and quarterly analysis and coordination with internal and external auditors.
  • Prepares audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
  • Conduct monthly SLA (Service Level Agreement) reviews the team over fixed assets activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets.
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis related to fixed assets.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field.
  • At least five or more years of fixed asset or corporate accounting experience in a large organization preferred
  • Process management skills to develop, document, analyze and improve processes and procedures.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and data skills management to organize, prioritize, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint).
