Our client, a Fortune 25 telecommunications company, is looking to bring on an Accounts Payable Manager at their offices in Irving. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an industry leader!

The person in this role will have the primary responsibility for processing Fiber invoices and managing the Fiber invoicing process.

This position provides administrative functions in support of several different internal groups (warehouse finance project management). The incumbent is responsible for co-ordination and completion of clerical and administrative services under the direction of the above teams. In addition, this position will assist in any principal duties as required.

DUTIES: 25 percent - Support the Daily activities of the Manager, this includes meeting schedules, internal and external conference calls, vendor communications and all other projects as assigned. 65 percent - Support the Finance manager with daily administrative functions focused on AP, accounting processes sand other duties as assigned. This function includes spreadsheet and report maintenance, vendor interface, as well as any other initiatives that require assistance. 10 percent - Support Project Management by performing administrative functions as assigned.


Manage database updates for all manually created invoices to ensure invoicing database is maintained as near real-time as possible.

Manage special projects as assigned.

Analyze and organize Excel data for reporting and analysis.

Required Skills:

* EXCEL SUPER USER needed....Advanced Excel skills manipulating data with vlookups and pivot tables, sorting and identifying discrepancies and anomalies

* Project Management experience and ability to drive tasks/projects to completion

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with external construction vendors and internal engineers and management

* Understanding of accounting principles including three-way match

* Experience with accounting systems (SAP)

* Experience with Agile development and user testing

* Ability to work well on a team to accomplish goals


Knowledge of Excel and ability to create pivot tables and perform lookups

Written and oral communication skills in order to work with external vendors and internal engineers and project managers

Excellent organizational skills


Knowledge of SAP and ability to research data and run reports

Knowledge of ERP Portal and ability to create confirmations and purchase orders

Knowledge of Agile development process


3-5 years work experience in Telecommunications

2-4 years college
