Job Description:

The position is responsible for all financial aspects of the Company as well as

responsibility for day to day operations from a and will provide direction and leadership

for Company staff. The position will ensure the smooth, orderly operation of the firm

while developing and implementing policies and procedures that reduce risk and

increase efficiency.

The successful candidate will work closely with ownership to develop financial and

investment strategies, financial forecasts, financial models, assist in the development of competitive bid strategies and pricing. In addition, the individual will oversee in-house accounting staff and a third-party accounting partner.

  • Community Relations
In addition to the areas of responsibility listed above, the successful candidate will be responsible for running internal staff meetings, attending weekly financial performance reviews with the firm's owners, developing and maintaining relationships with strategic vendors and attending a minimum number of industry related community events each month.

  • High level knowledge of Accrual Accounting
  • Ability to Execute Financial Modeling
  • Exceptional Critical Thinking Skills
  • Strong Communications Skills both Written and Spoken
  • Ability to Work with Minimum Direction
  • Ability to Work in a Dynamic Atmosphere with Multiple Priorities
  • Ability to Direct and Mentor Others
  • Familiar with DCAA Cost Accounting Standards Concepts:
  • Direct v. Indirect Costs
  • Burdened Labor Rates
  • Homogeneous Cost Pools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
  • 10+ years experience at a manager level
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
