Construction Business Development Manager

Our client is seeking an ambitious and energetic Construction Business Development Manager. This is a true boots on the ground role deepening the relationships with current clients and forging relationships with potential clients. You will oversee growth projects, sales projections and forecast revenue in line with projected income.

  • Follow up with existing and previous clients to develop additional business opportunities
  • Research and evaluate leads for potential new business
  • Identify trends through research and related events
  • Develop negotiation strategies
  • Assist in closing business deals, coordinate schedules with internal departments, review time frames and budgets
  • Identify markets that align with company strategy and sales goals
  • Arrange meetings and develop relationships with prospective clients
  • Develop new ways to improve client experience while building brand loyalty
  • Attend after hour industry and networking events
  • Maintain existing and track new business opportunities
  • Timely follow up on incoming leads and referrals
  • Implement CRM software
  • Follow up with clients after projects are completed

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, administration or related field - REQUIRED
  • Minimum 5 years experience in construction industry LOCALLY with a proven track record of building relationships
  • Goal oriented, organized with a strong business acumen
  • Ability to sell across a multitude of business platforms
  • Experienced preparing and giving sales presentations
  • Self-directed with the ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Experience in a metrics-driven sales environment
  • Experience with tracking client information in a CRM, a plus
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel from Tampa Bay to Orlando as needed
