Summary:

Our client is seeking a flexible and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to play a key role in supporting the legal team. You will coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Clinical, Product, Technology, Digital and Marketing with the goal of reducing process friction, expediting transaction flow and improving everyone's contracting experience.

Responsibilities:

Contract Administration:

  • Be a primary point of contact to internal clients to answer routine questions regarding contract status, administration and negotiation to ensure and facilitate compliance with company processes and policies
  • Manage and maintain company contracts and other legal documents in various administration systems (e.g. DocuSign, Contract Management System, company Server) and retrieve documents upon request
  • Assist in the roll-out, operation and management of the new company contracts management system and database, including assisting in the training and education of internal clients
  • Provide additional support on various Legal Department administrative projects
Contract Negotiation and Other Tasks:

  • Partner with company attorneys, Contracts Manager and internal clients to review, negotiate, draft, prepare for execution and filing a large volume of Agreements
  • Applicable Agreements includes NDAs, vendor contracts, Clinical Trial Agreements, Consultant Agreements, Business Associate Agreements and any other routine standard legal agreements
  • Escalate non-standard and complex issues to company's legal team/internal stakeholders as appropriate
  • Assistant team with legal research and make updates to contract templates, playbooks and other legal documents due to business demands or changes in applicable law(s) as instructed by team
  • Provide support of international affiliates and other internal global Agreements
  • Be aware of relevant privacy and compliance regulations, including HIPAA
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years of contract management experience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and ability to adapt to new technology and new processes with minimal explanation
  • Has meticulous attention to detail and high quality work product
  • Strong analytic and organization skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication
  • Is energized by the challenge of a rapidly growing and global company
  • Able to own and drive contracts and projects to completion
  • Able to expeditiously provide sound and prudent recommendations consistent with good business practices and common sense, while being business friendly and collaborative
  • Able to be flexible and assist with ad hoc and special projects, as requested
  • Clinical Trial and Bio-Pharma experience a plus
