The role of Global Capability Manager will be responsible for helping support and manage the capability agenda including coordinating and deploying enterprise wide capability solutions across all the corporate functions. This is a new role and reports to the Director of Global Enterprise Capability based in Atlanta

The role will provide input to various programs in development, partner with business & functional capability leads to prioritize efforts and deploy the programs to a global audience including measurement and adoption metrics. Additionally, the role will need to evaluate and design appropriate assessment solutions to help associates and the business identify capability strengths and gaps. This role will play a critical role in the work of determining the right capabilities required to become a stage 3 Growth Organization

Functional Capability Building

1. Collaborate with global functional capability leads to create strategies and programs that can extend across functions (like Business Acumen, Communication Effectiveness, Critical Thinking). Determine areas of connection, interdependence and alignment to influence where to best focus efforts as a collective.

- Lead bi-weekly team meetings of functional capability leads (determine content, objectives, speakers, etc)

- Provide overall guidance and support to 5 workstreams focused on addressing enterprise capability priorities and help integrate key connection points

- Ensure relevant information and topics are communicated timely from T&D COE to capability leads

Enterprise Capability Building

2. Review data and analytics, along with external best practice info to contribute as potential input for the Enterprise Capability strategy

3. Lead execution of global capability programs through strong partnerships with Associate Services Talent & Development Team, Capability Functional Leads and Regional Talent Consultants. This includes:

- Global Project Plan & Timeline

- Commercialization & Communications

- Post-delivery evaluation and continuous improvement

- Budget management

Franchise Capability Building

4. Partner with Global Franchise Capability Director to support the Franchise Leadership Council work and initiatives. This may include (but not limited to):

- Global/Regional Franchise Leadership PDF support

- Functional capability program design, deployment and support

- Functional competency diagnostic solution design and support

  • 10 - 15 years of business experience working with global or regional teams
  • Experience in HR a plus but not required with Learning/Talent Management background preferred
  • Strong project management experience with a bias to action and ability to get things done
  • Must be flexible and team-oriented, with proven ability to act as a change agent across all levels of an organization
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate a diverse range of stakeholders to quickly achieve result
  • Low ego, high EQ
  • BA/BS in Bus Admin, Finance, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and/or exp
  • Expert knowledge in the assigned business area discipline such as engineering or IT
  • 7-10 years experience managing large-scale initiatives in an engineering or technology environment
