Sr. Financial Analyst
Medical Device Company in the Irvine area is seeking an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst for an immediate long term contract position.
The Sr. Financial Analyst will support Surgical business leaders in preparation of annual operating plan, long term strategy plan, and monthly forecasts; inclusive of sales, expense, capital, and headcount planning in forecasting system.

Sr. Financial Analyst additional duties include but not limited to:
· Participate in month-end and quarterly accounting activities (prepare and post journal entries, perform account reconciliations), ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Provide meaningful variance analysis, insights, and recommendations regarding possible course correction.
· Manage cost center finances including reviewing financial metrics, providing guidance on cost center performance, advising on financial impact of business changes, and developing BU specific reports.
· Contribute to the development of meaningful presentations to communicate financial results, recommendations, and insights.
· Assess system capabilities and process efficiencies; identify opportunities to enhance, streamline, and automate existing processes to increase efficiency.
Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Detail-orientation, flexibility, with a high degree of urgency, accuracy, and efficiency
Problem-solving, process improvement, analytical, and collaborative skills
Proactive, self-motivated, and results oriented
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to interact professional and independently with business stakeholders
Software: Alteryx and/or Tableau, Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budget Cloud Service, JDE and HFM systems
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or relevant field required
Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience (or three years of experience with a Masters) is required
Medical device industry experience a plus
Experience working in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) Preferred
