Payroll Specialist

job summary:
Do you have recent payroll experience? Do you have experience processing payroll for 300+ employees on a weekly or bi-weekly basis? As a Payroll Specialist you will need to have high volume processing, great attention to detail and a desire to get the job done. Responsibilities:

  • Process all new hire payroll information, terminations, salary changes, leaves of absence, deductions, garnishments and other payroll related data.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for our time and attendance system, and maintain accuracy of time tracking system.
  • Interpret and apply the Company's payroll policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state governed laws.
  • Audit payroll records and correct errors as needed.
  • Answer employee questions related to pay and benefit deductions and work with the Human Resources team to resolve any issues or concerns..
  • Perform monthly audits and reviews to ensure PTO is paid and calculated in accordance with the Company's policy.
Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of ADP Workforce Now- not required but nice to have
  • Three or more years of high volume payroll experience
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and/or work environment, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and deal with ambiguity
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, process oriented, and can handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information proficiently, and appropriately escalate issues, and follow through
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive and confidential information in a discrete manner
  • Demonstrates accuracy and monitors own work to ensure quality
