job summary:
The HR Specialist/Recruiter is responsible for driving the hiring process to ensure that external and internal open positions are filled as quickly as possible.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition:

  • Facilitate candidates and managers through the hiring process
  • Actively source, screen and recruit qualified candidates using online tools, external networks and other resources
  • Support hiring managers by posting open positions and coordinating the recruitment process
  • Order background and other pre-employment tests and report results to hiring managers
  • Draft and send Offer letters
  • Provide new staff orientation (scheduling, conduct certain elements of orientation, etc.)
Benefits Administration

  • Coordinate benefit enrollment process for new and existing employees, including annual open enrollment
  • Administer benefits plans to include processing of enrollments, changes and terminations
  • Respond to employee inquiries by acting as a liaison with benefits broker and/or providers to answer questions or address any benefits or billing discrepancies.
  • Liaise with benefits broker to ensure the employee benefits are accurate and to administer the benefits portal
  • Administer and monitor leaves of absence, Workers Compensation and unemployment insurance claims
  • Manage employee Health Program and meet w/ staff to enhance program.
  • Conduct one on one and full staff meetings to go over ideas to create a better work environment or address personal/professional development plans.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with recruiting (Home Health or Healthcare) is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; self-driven, motivated and results oriented.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to maintain a high daily call volume.
  • Strong analytical and judgment skills. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily tasks.
